1Controller

The controller within the meaning of the Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP) is Cedric Reumer, Im Büeli 1, 8864 Reichenburg, Switzerland.

2The main point first: your order details are not held here

When you order, you enter your name, delivery address, email address and phone number at Stripe, the payment provider. The payment page says Stripe on it, and that is where those details stay.

What my server holds about your order is: the order number, the items, the amounts, the date, the payment state and any note you wrote yourself. No name, no address, no email address, no phone number.

When I print your shipping label or look at your order, I fetch the address from Stripe at that moment and do not file it away. There is no cache for it either, because a cache would be another copy.

The reason is simple: details that never sit here cannot go missing here. Not in a break-in, not in an old backup, not on a decommissioned drive.

3Stripe

Payments are handled by Stripe (Stripe, Inc., USA, and Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland). In doing so Stripe collects your name, address, email address, phone number and payment details and processes them as its own controller.

This means a disclosure abroad, in part to the USA. Stripe relies on standard contractual clauses for this and is certified under the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is performance of the contract under Art. 31 para. 2 lit. a FADP.

What Stripe does with your details is set out in their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. All I can retrieve there is what belongs to your order.

4Visit counting

I count how often a page and how often a product is viewed. What gets stored is one number per day, for instance "9 September, product X, 14 views".

There is no visitor identifier, no cookie for it, no IP address and no individual event. No link to a person can therefore be made, not even by me.

There is no Google Analytics on this site, no Matomo, no Facebook pixel and no other service that follows you across sites.

5Cookies

• One cookie for the language. It remembers whether you chose German, English, French or Italian. Nothing else.
• One cookie for signing in to the admin area. That concerns me, not you.
• No cookies for advertising, for reach measurement or for third parties. That is why this site has no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
• On Stripe’s payment page, Stripe’s cookies apply. That page is not mine.

6Your order link

After ordering you get a link with a long key in it. Whoever has the link sees the order. That is deliberate: you need no account and I need no login details from you.

Treat the link accordingly. If you lose it, you can find the order again with the order number and your email address. I check that email address at Stripe, because it is not held here.

7Diagnostic reports

If you send me a diagnostic report from your device, it contains technical information: model, hardware, system version, error logs. No personal files, no passwords, no browsing history.

I use these reports only for troubleshooting and delete them once the matter is settled.

8Your device and the configurator

For a device sold, I store the device number, the model, the technical details, the options chosen and any wishes you entered in the configurator.

I need that to build the device and to help you later without you having to explain everything again. If you want me to delete it, say so; after that, though, I can no longer look up what was set up on the device when you have a support question.

9Server and logs

The site runs on a server in Switzerland. Like every web server it writes technical logs in order to spot faults and attacks. These logs are not analysed to observe visitors and are not combined with orders.

10For how long

• Orders are kept for ten years. The Code of Obligations requires this for business records (Art. 958f CO). Since no name and no address is in them, that is a retention of figures, not of people.
• Your details at Stripe are subject to Stripe’s retention periods.
• Diagnostic reports are deleted once the matter is settled.
• The daily view counts stay, because they have no link to a person in the first place.

11Your rights

Under the FADP you have the right to information, rectification, erasure and release of your data. Write to me; I answer within 30 days and charge nothing for it.

Because your details sit at Stripe, a request may lead there. In that case I tell you exactly what is held where, rather than sending you away.

If my answer does not satisfy you, you can turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

12Changes

If something changes on this site that affects your data, this text changes too. The version shown when you visit is the one that applies.
